SEPTEMBER 28, 2024 “6th Annual Black Family Empowerment Day” 1pm to 5pm Marie Wideman Park.

Come and experience and learn about how we are continuing revitalizing our common ground, using creativity for developing and supporting healthy, active, fit youth, families and community. Annually inviting everyone to the celebrating of us, our families and community through Black art, culture, enlightenment & entertainment, and community. Strategic discussions, workshops, extensive resources review, DJ, music, dancing, food, vendors, live music and togetherness in Black community love, in our own NEIGHBORhood continuing our restoration back to greatness and preparing for the future, well grounded in our deeper traditional roots. THIS IS THE OPPORTUNITY for collective work and responsibility and creative self determination. Don’t talk about it, lets be about it for those who will come after us.

PLEASE DONT LET THIS POSTPONEMENT STOP US FROM SEIZING THE OPORTUNITY TO DESIGN OUR OWN FUTURE KUJICHAGULIA.NOW IS THE TIME TO TELL THE CITY WHAT WE WANT AND HOW WE WANT IT. A STATE OF THE ART PARK AND ACCESSBLEPERFORMANCE AMPHITHEATER AND ANNEX WITH THE TOOLS TO SUPPORT US IN BEING HEALTHY ACTIVE AND FIT MIND BODY & SPIRIT. OUR D4 REP IS ON OUR SIDE BUT WE AS THE COMMUNITY MUST STILL STEP UP AND BE VOCAL AND VISABLE. THE MAYOR & 4TH DISTRICT CITY COUNCIL MUST HEAR FROM YOU THE COMMUNITY AND SUPPORTERS OF HEALING ARTS.
