BLK BOYS 2MEN READING & Comprehension EMPOWERMENT CIRCLEs

Bi weekly creative literacy based group mentoring, reading and comprehension workshops for demonstrated comprehension activities and improved reading skills for study, theatre or just improved social and development skills.

PROJECT F.A.T.E PROGRAM

PROJECT FATE standing for Fashion, Art , & Talent Extravaganza is a free annual Arts & Edutainment interactive service to advance our skills in improving wellness support through project creation and integrated activities with professional artist creating unique showcases of fashion, art, and talent expression serving as therapeutic creative arts and cultural activities that build coping and development skills for self determination and promoting Insight (deprogramming healing & rebuilding) for mental health and wellness power.

SD ANNUAL KUUMBA FEST

San Diego’s longest running annual Black edu-tainment and cultural celebration of African American heritage, art and history 3 days of African Market Place with healthy active fit resources, books, educational workshops, children’s art village, exotic vendors, foods, materials, art, shea butter, drums, jewelry, fashion and more Positive images, music, parade of the ancestors, dance, poetry, musical showcases and competitions all celebrating Black art and cultural enrichment.

KUUMBA KIDZ/SATURDAY SCHOOL AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE HERITAGE AND ART SYBU/CROPP

Families, boys and girls participate in SYBU Shule ya Busura na Umoja meaning the school of foresight and unity, learning geography, song, music, dance and language. Collectively sharing and exploring African culture, Black history, health education and performing arts through our Creative Rites of Passage Program. These families also present and lead at annual Kuumba Fest and all “Last Saturday” events in the Black Arts & Culture Districts park for SDUW Mind Body & Spirit Public Health Campaign
